IDT Corporation (NYSE:IDT) is a multinational telecommunications and payments company. The Newark-based company, founded by Howard Jonas in 1990, provides its services to individuals and businesses primarily through its flagship BOSS Revolution and net2Phone brands. IDT has a workforce of over 1,200 employees on six continents. The company has made forays into a wide variety of industries outside of its core telecom and payments business divisions. These industries include cloud computing, energy, entertainment, publishing, and pharmaceuticals. The company says these endeavors have often resulted in public spin-offs or acquisitions that have disrupted whole industries.
