Blockchain Technology Already Disrupting Financial Industry, NJ Tech Council Speaker Says

 “The change you keep hearing about is real,” said keynote speaker Ron Quaranta, founder and chairman of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance, to a packed conference room at the 2017 FinTech Summit sponsored by the NJ Tech Council. He was speaking about how blockchain technologies are disrupting business practices in finance. “How we do what we do is changing,” he said. “How we do business; how we trade; how we ensure privacy; how we store, process and share information; and how we exchange value.”

NJ Startup Auto i is Favorite of Audience and Investors at TechLaunch BullPen #5

A New Jersey startup with an advanced motor-vehicle security system won the TechLaunch BullPen #5 event, held at Montclair State University on Sept. 19. Holmdel’s Auto i won both the audience and panel vote as winning presenter.

WorkWave to Be Acquired by IFS; Company Staying in New Jersey to Grow, CEO Says

WorkWave (Holmdel), a Software-as-a-Service cloud-based business that serves the field service, last mile delivery and logistics industries, has signed an agreement to be acquired by IFS , a global enterprise applications company. Details of the deal were not disclosed; however, a story in Reuters said that this was IFS’ biggest acquisition to date.
