Startups Flock to Camden to Compete in $25,000 Pitch Competition

Over 40 startups gathered at 200 Federal Street in Camden on the morning of Saturday, October 14. They came to participate in the Camden Catalyst startup pitch competition, hosted by Waterfront Ventures (Camden). The competition, which awarded $25,000 to the winning startup, was a two-day event focused on attracting new startups to the city of Camden.

Lambertville-based Startup RobustWealth is More Than Just Another Robo-Adviser

RobustWealth (Lambertville), founded by Mike Kerins in 2015, is a venture-backed startup in the financial space. The company produces a private-label robo-adviser product that enables other firms to offer financial advice digitally, using their own investment models, whether they are a large insurance company or a small registered investment adviser.

Newark Venture Partners announced last week the roster of startups accepted into the fall 2017 class of the NVP Labs accelerator, although the accelerator program had actually kicked off on October 10.This is the accelerator’s third cohort. Eclectic Mix of Tech Professionals Mingle, Learn at 2017 Asbury Agile

Asbury Agile, a unique, entertaining, single-track conference for tech professionals and students, took place on October 6, a bright, sunny day at the Jersey shore. The venue was The Asbury hotel. Conference founders Bret Morgan and Kevin Fricovsky welcomed more than 200 attendees to Asbury Park, noting that it was the seventh year the duo had put on this event.
