56 NJ Libraries Upgraded to Help Job Seekers


Some 56 N.J. libraries were beneficiaries of NJWorks@yourlibrary, a statewide initiative that provides libraries with resources to help job seekers, funded by the $5.1 million federal Broadband Technology Opportunity program grant. Libraries added computer workstations, upgraded Internet connections and provide job search assistance and workforce development programs. Library staff has received training in the use of specialty databases that aid job seekers.
