Juniper Gives Two Scholarships to NJ Students Who Will Major in Engineering
Juniper Networks, whose OpenLab facility is in Bridgewater, gave two scholarships this year to graduating seniors in New Jersey who had demonstrated success in STEM education courses and who intended to major in Engineering.
The students also needed to demonstrate community involvement over a period of several years and have a high school grade point average of 3.5. The scholarship awards were administered through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Eligible students resided in Essex, Hunterdon, Union, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris or Somerset counties.
Winners were a Jonathan Yakubov from Elizabeth High School, who will be attending Brown University for biomedical engineering and Johanna Jaramillo from Abraham Clark High Schooland a young lady from Abraham Clark High School (Roselle) who hopes to attend either Rutgers or New Jersey Institute of Technology. Each scholarship is for $5,000.
