For 50th Anniversary, Checkpoint Systems Opens Customer Experience Center in Thorofare

Checkpoint Systems, an integrated solution provider for retail customers, will be opening a new Customer Experience Center at its headquarters, in Thorofare.

The Center will show off the company’s retail innovations, including more than 40 connected store technologies, the company said in a release. Checkpoint engineers and retailers will be able to test store solutions by trying out the company’s products in a working lab.

Checkpoint was well known as a pioneer in loss prevention, providing one of the earliest electronic article surveillance (EAS) solutions, but today it’s also a vertically integrated global radio-frequency identification (RFID) retail partner. The company produces its own intelligent radio-frequency (RF)/RFID tags, labels, personalized RF/RFID pedestals and scanning hardware.

The connected store is integrated with the company’s HALO internet-of-things software platform, which is based on Microsoft Azure. Checkpoint said that its platform delivers an “improved financial performance and an improved consumer experience … via an ecosystem of hardware and software solutions.”

Interested customers, retail professionals, analysts, professional groups and universities are invited to visit the Center to see the future of connected retail stores, the company said.
