Can Newark Become an Attractive College Town?


With 60,000 college students, Newark has one of the highest East Coast concentrations of those in higher education. Yet no one thinks of Newark as a college town. City planners are being urged to create an identifiable college center in Newark with enough faculty, student and retail density to support economic activity night and day.
