Stevens Prof Gets Grant to Study Flow of Rumors during Disasters


A National Science Foundation grant to Stevens Institute of Technology professor Yasu Sakamoto will look at how to minimize the spread of false rumors through social media during disaster response. The research could help avert unnecessary panic resulting from the spread of false information.
