Governor Christie came to a groundbreaking for an addition to Newark Tech High School, a vocational technical school, according to an article in the Newark Patch.

The addition will be used to help students learn at their own pace and train for careers in emergency management, the article said. The TEAL (Technology Advanced Learning) Center will house 5 independent learning spaces and  will include a training space situation room to help students learn emergency management. Information from simulated disasters appears on a video wall synced to student computers.
