New High Tech Dispatch Center Opens in Union


Union County, N.J. unveiled a new advanced technology Dispatch Center which handles routing for police, fire and emergency medical services for Fanwood, Roselle, Springfield and Hillside. It also dispatches Scotch Plains EMS and two parametic units out of Robert Wood Johnson hospital. Freehold Alexander Mirabella said that the up-to-date facility is and example of a shared county-local service which lets local governments manage costs while gaining quality they couldn’t support on their own.
