- The $50K TechUnited BetterPlanet Challenge Semi-Finals will take place virtually on Sept. 15. The top applicants from over 75 companies will pitch to a panel of judges and the audience, who will ultimately vote on the top three. The top three will compete at Propelify, Oct.6.

- EdgeCon, an event for the New Jersey higher-ed tech community run by Newark-based Edge, is in-person on Oct.13 at Princeton University.
- Celebrate Princeton Innovation takes place Oct. 13 at the Frick Chemistry Atrium at Princeton University.
- Women Entrepreneurship Week 2022 will take place at Montclair State University in person and via live streaming Oct. 19. In-person event tickets appear to be sold out but you can register here to attend virtually.
- The New Jersey Equity in Commercialization Collective holds its first annual commercialization conference, “Innovation for Impact: Commercializing Academic Discovery,” Oct. 27 on NJIT’s campus, in Newark.
Deadlines
- Join the Entrepreneurs@MSU fall 2022 cohort. The program is free to MSU students and is being offered to outside community members at $199. Applications close Sept. 15.
- Applications for Round 2 of the Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology (CSIT) Clean Tech Research and Development (R&D) Voucher Program are being accepted on a rolling basis as long as program funds are available.
- Applications for the CSIT Catalyst R&D Voucher Pilot Program are also being accepted on a rolling basis as long as program funds are available.
- The NJIT Venture Fund provides early-stage funding for students, staff, faculty, alumni, and startups licensing NJIT intellectual property. There is a rolling deadline. Apply here.
- The New Jersey Innovation Evergreen Fund provides a way for New Jersey corporations to participate in the innovation economy and receive tax credits for doing so.
