New Telecom Equipment to Help N.J. in Emergencies


New equipment purchased by The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management and NJ Office of Information Technology will ensure that emergency personnel will be able to maintain communications during an emergency or disaster. The $3.1 million in purchases includes 3 communications sites on wheels equipped with a  700 MHZ trunked system, VHF, UHF and 800 MHz repeaters, and other equipment.
